Billy Chang helped establish the firm's investment discipline and continues to guide its oil and gas private equity strategy. Prior to building Kirby Energy Partners, he worked across energy investing, asset evaluation, and operator partnerships, developing a practical view of how capital should be deployed across commodity cycles. Since the firm's founding period, Billy has shaped the sourcing process, strengthened management-team relationships, and helped position the platform around durable cash flow, technical underwriting, and disciplined long-term value creation.
